Maya Kasir-Ella, Adv.

Attorney Maya Kasir-Ella joined the Legal Translations Ltd. team in January 2017, bringing with her extensive experience gained with two leading Israeli law firms. Legal work, however, is not the only string to Maya’s bow – unusually, and a first on our team, she is an opera singer with considerable stage experience in soprano singing roles here and abroad. And, most pertinent to our firm, Maya is also a translator on paper and in more public domains, where she simultaneously and consecutively translates Hebrew to English and vice versa. Needless to say, she is never struck by stage fright no matter how large the court or boardroom audience.

Her work as a bi-directional legal translator is underpinned by wide expertise in legal, business and financial matters, elevated by the discipline and passion of her former stage career.

Music was her first love. After completing her high school education at the Rubin Academy of Music and Dance in Jerusalem (1999), Maya was accepted to the prestigious Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London, where she gained an undergraduate degree (2003), followed by an MMus master’s degree (magna cum laude) in 2005.

Between 2003 and 2007, Maya performed as an opera singer and participated in master classes across Europe and Israel. She performed at renowned London venues, including the Royal Albert Hall, the Barbican Centre, and Wigmore Hall. In Israel, she appeared with the Israeli Opera, the Israel Camerata Orchestra, and the Ra’anana Orchestra.

In 2007, Maya set a new course, taking up legal studies at The College of Management Academic Studies. She completed her LL.B degree in 2010, carried out her internship with Glusman & Co. (2011-2012), and then gained admittance to the Israel Bar in 2012.

Adv. Kasir-Ella spent the next two years (2013-2014) with Strikovsky, Gal and Co. Law Offices, where she focused on commercial and corporate law and commercial litigation, drafting legal materials, including legal opinions, investment and commercial agreements and judicial documents. As well as representing the firm’s clients in a variety of judicial settings, she also has significant experience in due diligence work.

Immediately prior to joining Legal Translations Ltd., Maya worked as an associate attorney (2014-2017) with M. Firon & Co. Advocates, in the firm’s Projects, Infrastructure and Transportation Department, where she handled PFI and BOT projects across the project lifecycle and the supply chain. She drafted agreements and contracts – often in English, and provided ongoing legal advice on a broad array of commercial matters.
