Shimrit is a Senior Translator at Legal Translations Ltd., having joined the company in 2011.
Shimrit brings to all her translations her rich experience in the prominent law firm of Kantor, Elhanani, Tal & Co. (now Meitar Liquornik Geva Leshem Tal), where she completed her internship (2000) and continued at the firm as an associate practicing commercial law. For close to eight years (2000-2007), and conducting a significant amount of her practice in English, Shimrit expertly advised the firm’s international and local clients, including many leading corporations, on antitrust issues, commercial transactions, employment law, corporate law and ongoing legal counsel. She also represented the firm’s clients in litigation cases.
She graduated from Tel Aviv University with an LL.B. (cum laude) in 1999, after having been on the Dean’s Honors List for three consecutive years, and was admitted to the Israel Bar in 2000.
Born, raised and educated in Israel, Shimrit spent a year of her childhood in the United States, which would enrich her English and give her an important tool in her career – first as an attorney, and then as a legal translator.
